Today one of my old professors posted a question on Twitter. "What does the church look like in the future regarding diversity?"
Here's what I believe: Diversity = Influence. To avoid bridging gaps in ethnicity, age & gender is simply a huge mistake. Especially when it comes to advancing the Kingdom of God. A Kingdom passionate and open to everyone despite one's ethnicity, age or gender. For if the church chooses not to bridge these gaps, it'll find itself isolated, losing it's influence.
Perhaps the problem isn't recognizing the need, but more so the church is in need of people willing to do something about the need.
