Have you ever been to the Eiffel Tower? I'm assuming the majority of those reading this post haven't. Which recently had me thinking, why is it none of us doubt the existence of the Eiffel Tower having never been there ourselves? The answer I landed on was this; we believe the Eiffel Tower exists because those who have visited have shown us consistent portraits of the Eiffel Tower in Paris giving us no reason to doubt.
Perhaps we shouldn't be frustrated with those in our lives who doubt the existence of God and maybe we should be motivated by the fact that we've been displaying inconsistent portraits of who God is. Personally I believe our best approach to dealing with skepticism isn't to argue our point of view, but to simply provide skeptics with a consistent view of God in our everyday lives. Who knows, maybe we'll come off a lot less legalistic and argumentative while having an even greater impact on those living in disbelief.
